Wesley University is now taking applications into its postgraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session from interested and qualified candidates.

Wesley University is dedicated to the training of its students to become professionally competent and confident graduates and they do this by providing an enabling environment for effective teaching and research in cutting–edge disciplines via an intensive curriculum.

Wesley University is a private university located in Ondo State was established by the Methodist Church, Nigeria. The University derived its name from John Wesley, the founder of The Methodist Church world-wide. 

PROGRAMMES OFFERED

The School of Postgraduate studies is offering Msc, M.Phil, PGD, PhD in the following:

1. Accounting
2. Business Administration
3. Biochemistry
4. Hospitality Management and Tourism
5. Computer Science
6. Theology
7. Nutrition and Dietetics
8. Microbiology
9. Mass Communication
10. Education (PGDE only)
11. MBA and MPA

They also offer postgraduate programmes in ministry. They include:

1. Doctor of Ministry (D.Min)
2. Master of Divinity (M.Div)
3. Master in Theology (M.Th)

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The general admission requirements for postgraduate programmes include the following:

1. Candidates must have the basic ordinary level University entry requirement of at least FIVE (5) credit passes in WASC, SSCE/GCE, NECO or their equivalent, which must include a credit pass in English or English and Mathematics, as determined by the department.
2. Candidates for a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programme must possess a minimum of a first degree or HND (merit pass)

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

MASTER’S DEGREE:

1. A candidate with a first degree from a recognized University with a minimum of a second class lower division may be admitted provided the University matriculation requirements are satisfied;
2. A candidate with a good postgraduate diploma from a recognized University may also be admitted to a Master’s degree programme provided the University matriculation requirement is satisfied.

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (PH. D.):

1. A candidate with a good Master’s degree from a recognized University may be admitted provided the University matriculation requirement is satisfied.
2. Prerequisite academic transcripts must accompany applications for postgraduate programmes, which shall be forwarded directly by the issuing University to the School of Postgraduate Studies; and the School of Postgraduate Studies may take registered students of higher degrees from other Universities on transfer if they meet the University’s conditions for entry to such degrees.

HOW TO APPLY

Application is done online via their portal. Follow the steps below to apply:

1. Visit the university’s application portal.
2. Fill and Submit the application form with the required details. You will need to upload clear copies of: Your school certificate (like BSc), Your school result (transcript), Passport photo and Research idea (if you want to do PhD or MPhil).
3. Pay the application fee afterwards save and upload evidence of payment/transaction receipt.
4. Submit the form and print your confirmation paper.
5. You will receive an email or SMS confirming receipt of your application.
6. Follow up for any additional screening or interview schedules

TUITION AND OTHER FEES

Here is the estimated school fees:

PGD/PGDE: N150,000 – N200,000

MSc/MBA/MPA: N250,000 – N300,000

MPhil/PhD: N200,000 – N350,000

Form fee: N10,000 (not refundable)

Acceptance fee: N25,000 or more
