OAUTHC is inviting prospective candidates to apply to the School of Health Information Management (SHIM) for the 2025/2026 academic session.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR SCHOOL OF HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

Candidates seeking for ND admission must have obtained the minimum entry requirement of five (5) credits at not more than two sittings in the WASC/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

Candidates who plan to sit for the 2025 JAMB examination and have chosen this school (SHIM OAUTHC, Ile-Ife) in JAMB application are eligible to apply.
Candidates who plan to sit for the year 2025 JAMB EXAMINATION and chose SHIM, OAUTHC, ILE-IFE, as second choice and plan to do change of Institution to SHIM,OAUTHC, ILE-IFE if considered are qualified to apply.
Candidates intending to pursue the 2-year HND programme must have obtained in addition to 5 credits O’levels, the National Diploma with professional license Certificates (not below Lower Credit) in Health Information Management, together with an evidence of completion of one year (compulsory) Industrial Attachment in a reputable health institution.

HOW TO APPLY

Candidates are to register on-line by accessing the OAUTHC website to complete and submit their application.

Click “Applicant Registration” on the top bar, then create a new user account by filling the small form which includes the following:
- First name
- School you want: choose School Of Health Information Management
- Phone number
- Active email
- Username (Its important that it is easy to remember)
- Password (at least 6 characters)

After creating an account you can log in to your dashboard with the username and password.
Interested ND applicants are to pay a non-refundable fee of N2,000.00 while HND applicants are to pay N8,000.00 through REMITA payable to OAUTHC, Ile-Ife. On presentation of the evidence of payment, application forms are to be collected from: School of Health Information Management, OAUTHC, P.M.B. 5538, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
Completed application forms must be returned to the School of Health Information Management (SHIM), OAUTHC not later than Tuesday 23^rd September, 2025.
Post-JAMB examination/oral interview for all applicants comes up between Wednesday 24^th and Thursday 25^th September, 2025 in the school premises by 9:00am.

MODE OF EXAMS

The mode of examinations that would be used by the school to select OND candidates for the School of Health Information Management of OND candidates in addition to possessing the requisite qualification will be both a Written and Oral exams on the following subjects:

English Language
Mathematics
Biology
Chemistry
Physics
General Paper

While the HND candidates for the School of Health Information Management will be tested via a written exam in:

English Language
Professional Courses
General Paper.

DURATION OF PROGRAMME

The ND program is typically a two-year course, followed by a one-year industrial training (IT), after which students can proceed to the HND program.

The HND program, including the IT, is usually a three-year duration. In total, the ND and HND programs, including the IT, take about five years to complete.
