OVERVIEW
The College of Nursing offers a four (4) year program with the award of Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM)/Registered Public Health Nurse.
The College of Post Basic Nursing on the other hand is a twelve (12) month program offering specialty training in the following:

- Accident and Emergency Nursing
- Pediatrics Nursing
- Ophthalmic Nursing
- Neonatal Nursing
- Nephrology Nursing
- Critical Care Nursing
ADMISSONS REQUIREMENT
COLLEGE OF NURSING
To be eligible for the course, you must possess the following qualifications:
1. Five (5) O’Level Credits in (not more than 2 sittings):
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Physics
- Chemistry
2. Must sit for the current JAMB with a score of 180 and above
COLLEGE OF POST BASIC NURSING
To be eligible for the course, you must possess the following qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) Qualification
- Registered Midwifery (RM) Qualification (not compulsory)
- WAEC/GCE/NECO
- 5 credits including Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology not more than two sittings
- One year post registered nurse qualification and current practicing license issued by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Interested candidates are to visit the Admission Portal and click the school of interest. It is very important that applicants read and adhere strictly to the admission requirements before completing the account creation form of the school of interest to avoid disqualification.
- The next step is to complete the account creation form after which an email containing your login details will be sent to you through the mail provided, hence is is important to supply a functional mail address. You will then get information on how to make payments.
- If you desire to make payment immediately, a prompt to “Make payment” will be highlighted after the account creation and you will be redirected to the Remita website where you can make payment.
- On successful completion of the payment, the applicant should visit: Please ensure to read and adhere strictly to the admission requirements carefully before completing the account creation form of the school of interest to avoid disqualification.
- Complete the account creation form. Ensure you supply correct information, functional email address and phone contacts as required. An email containing your login details will be sent to you after the account creation. Through the email, you will get information on how to make payments.
- If you desire to make payment immediately, a prompt to “Make payment” will be highlighted after the account creation.
- You will be redirected to the Remita website where you can make payment. A Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code automatically generated when your account was created will be attached. Please note that various means of payment is supported on the platform.
- On successful completion of the payment, the applicant should visit the admission portal and login with the user ID sent through the email and complete the application form for the desired program.
Important things to note while applying include:
- Applicants are to fill all their information in CAPITAL LETTERS.
- Once submitted, no correction can be made except at the main portal in LUTH Schools Administration Department.
- Any further correction in the main portal will attract extra payment of Five Thousand Naira (₦5,000.00).
- Ensure that your recent white background passport is affixed to your Bio-data and print it in colored immediately after completing the registration, hence you will be locked out.
- You must bring your colored Bio-data form as a clearance to enter the examination hall.
- Awaiting Results is NOT allowed.
- Payment and filling of form should be done once and for all.
- Forms that are NOT submitted on or before the closure of admission is considered null and void.
