
INTRODUCTION
Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) is now taking applications for its Remedial programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The Remedial programme is an initiative by the institution that aims to offer a second chance to candidates who were not able to meet with the entry admission requirement into the course of their choice. Those who didn’t meet the required JAMB score or have deficiencies in their O’Level results are encouraged to give this a try.
Its an intensive one year programme that affords candidates the opportunity to remedy their deficiencies by either sitting for another JAMB examnation or O’Level exams while also attending classes. Successful candidates would be able to proceed to the degree program of their choice.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT FOR THE REMEDIAL PROGRAMME
- Prospective students of AFIT must obtain the JAMB form, choose AFIT as First Choice Institute and sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), as prescribed in the relevant advertisement for the admission exercise.
- Applicants must complete the online AFIT Application Forms.
- Applicants with five O-level credits but deficiencies in English Language or Mathematics may still apply. However, they must register for and obtain a credit pass in the deficient subject before being considered for admission into a degree program.
- Applicants who did not meet up with the JAMB requirement must re-sit the exam and gain the required cut-off score for degree choice.
- Admission into the remedial programme will be based on the applicant’s performance and the available quota for each program.
HOW TO APPLY
- Prospective candidates for the remedial programme should visit the Air Force Institute of Technology website.
- Click on the link for “2025/2026 Remedial Application” and make an account using your phone number and email.
- A code will be sent to your phone which you will enter after which you can fill in your name and upload a clear picture of your WAEC or NECO result.
- You would be required to pay a sum of ₦10,000 with your with your debit card.
- Print the form and slip. Keep them safe.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Nigerian Airforce Personnels are not allowed to apply for the degree (Remedial) programmes.
- Admission into AFIT is strictly on merit and they do not request for payment from applicants for processing of admissions. They also do not ask for money to influence admission. Simply follow the admission procedures as shown on the website.
- It is important to note that the programme is non-residential.
PROGRAMME DURATION
The program lasts for two semesters, equivalent to one academic session.
