INTRODUCTION

Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife (OAUTHC) is inviting interested suitably qualified candidates to apply for admission into the School of Community Health for the 2025/2026 academic session.

OAUTHC is a tertiary healthcare facility located in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria, and is affiliated with Obafemi Awolowo University. The hospital is known for its commitment to providing excellent healthcare services, training healthcare professionals, and conducting medical research.

DURATION OF PROGRAMME

The Training Programme which will last for either one or two Calendar years and will commence in September, 2025, leading to the award of Higher Diploma in Community Health.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

West African School Certificate/GCE “O” Level, or Senior Secondary School Certificate (NECO) or NABTEB with Five Credits level passes at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR ONE (1) CALENDAR YEAR PROGRAMME

Must have qualified as a Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW).

Possess First Degree in Community Health Science, Health Education, Public Health or HND in Community Health.

Applicant must be registered with the Community Health Practitioners’ Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) and possess current practicing license.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR TWO (2) CALENDAR YEARS PROGRAMME

Diploma in Community Health.

Community Health Extension Workers Certificate (CHEW) with Five (5) years’ experience

Applicant must be registered with the Community Health Practitioners’ Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) and possess current practicing license.

SELECTION PROCESS

Admission will be determined by performance in a competitive written test and oral interview, scheduled for Monday, July 21st, and Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025, respectively.

Candidates must bring original certificates and practicing licenses, and two copies of the application slip to the exam center.

Candidates are expected to reprint their Examination Slip with COLOUR PRINTER a week before the examination date.

Application forms can be purchased online from the OAUTHC website at a cost of Fifteen thousand Naira (N15,000.00) only via the REMITA PLATFORM.

Select CHEW and BSc or HND for one year programme and CHEW for two years programme.
