INTRODUCTION

Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna is inviting qualified applicants to apply for their IJMB program for the 2025/2026 academic session.

They are offering an intensive coaching program after which successful candidates of the IJMB exam who meet the required cut off mark would be admitted via direct entry into an undergraduate degree program of their choice.

The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna is a tertiary institution with a blend of military and civilian staff and students. They are accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), National Universities Commission (NUC), Council for the Regulation of Engineers in Nigeria (COREN) and Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).

The vision is to be a Global Centre of Multi-Disciplinary Academic and Research Excellence whilst functioning as the Prime Technical Manpower Development Resource of the Nigerian Air Force.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants are required to have a minimum of five Credits including English Language and Mathematics in not more than 2 sittings in the SSCE/GCE organised by WAEC, NECO, NABTEB and should include the major subjects of their intended course of study.

However, applicants with deficiencies in English Language or Mathematics must remedy the deficiency before the final examination.

AFIT ENTRY REQUIREMENT – Admission into AFIT is by completing the IJMB program and passing the IJMBE with at least 10 points and above.

HOW TO APPLY

To apply for the IJMB program, do the following:

1. Visit the AFIT IJMB Application Portal
2. Select the 2025/2026 academic session
3. Fill out the form online
4. Pay a non-refundable ₦10,000 fee using an Interswitch-enabled ATM card
5. Print out the completed form and bring it along with your SSCE/GCE result slips during registration.

All successfully admitted and registered students are placed into academic groups; IJMB 1, IJMB 2, IJMB 3, IJMB 4, IJMB 5, IJMB 6, IJMB 7, IJMB 8, IJMB 9,IJMB 10 and IJMB 11.

Each student is given a group by considering his/her intended future carrier and the O – Level credits obtained. Courses in each group are:

IJMB 1 – Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

IJMB 2 – Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

IJMB 3 – Business Management, Economics and Accounting.

IJMB 4 – Business Management, Economics and Government.

IJMB 5 – Government, Economics and Sociology.

IJMB 6 – Business Management, Accounting and Sociology

IJMB 7 – Accounting, Economics and Government.

IJMB 8 – Accounting, Business Management and Government.

IJMB 9 – Accounting, Economics and Sociology.

IJMB 10 – Government, Literature in English and CRS.

IJMB 11 – Government, Literature in English and IRS.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• NAF personnel are not allowed to apply for this programme
• Admission is strictly based on merit
• AFIT does not collect extra fees for admission processing

DURATION

A one-year academic course.

The program typically starts around November/December and ends in June/July.

Application fee – Ten thousand naira (10,000naira)
