INTRODUCTION

Alex Ekwueme Federal University(AE-FUNAI) is currently inviting qualified candidates for admission into their non-resident JUPEB and Pre-Degree Program for the 2025/2026 session.

They are offering a vast array of courses spanning across the Sciences to the Arts. The Pre-Degree Program is aimed at preparing candidates for admission into degree programs in all disciplines offered by the university except Medicine and Surgery.

The JUPEB program on the other hand is an intensive coaching program designed to prepare candidates for direct entry admission into the 200-level of departments of candidate’s choice in AE-FUNAI as well as over 90 universities in Nigeria and abroad that are affiliates of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB).

The vision of the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike is to become a vibrant centre of learning and research that will be reputable nationally and internationally and a hub for the economic transformation and development of the region through creative and innovative endeavours.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates for the program must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in five (5) relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics at a maximum of two sittings. However candidates who wish to study Medicine and Surgery or Law are expected to have earned the relevant credits in ONE sitting only.

HOW TO APPLY

To register, follow the steps outlined below:

• Visit the University website funai.edu.ng, at the top click on MENU or QUICKLINKS.
• Click on ADMISSIONS.
• Click on 2025/2026 Predegree & JUPEB Registration
• Click on Generate Application Invoice.
• On your Account on the e-Portal, generate your Remita Retrieval Reference Number (RRR) for payment. Payment can be easily made with your credit card/debit card or at any Nigerian Bank Branch. After successful payment, click on the Fill Application Form.
• Ensure that all sections of your application form are correctly filled, and click on “Complete Application” to our online server. Our server shall acknowledge receipt of your form by sending an email to your email address and SMS to your mobile phone. Check your email and print two colored copies of your Application Form.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO NOTE WHILE APPLYING

1. Applicants must provide a recent colored passport photograph taken not earlier than 3 months before the time of application with a white background. Selfies, blurred and webcam photos are strictly prohibited.
2. Applicants who upload wrong bio-data and credentials will have their online application rejected.
3. Applicants are to report to AE-FUNAI CES for registration and screening ONLY when they have received an invitation through e-mail and an admission letter approved by the Director. Applicants are hereby advised to use valid e-mail addresses and personal telephone numbers.
4. Applicants are advised to follow the application instructions carefully and ensure that they follow the stipulated guidelines. Failure to do so may adversely affect the candidate’s application.

DURATION OF PROGRAMME

The JUPEB and Pre-Degree program runs for two (2) semesters within about ten (10) calendar months.

Submission of online form will close on Friday 31st October, 2025 at 11:59pm.

TUITION AND OTHER FEES

APPLICATION FEE – Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000) only.
